New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs licenses some 81,000 businesses across 50-plus industries and conducted 75,000 inspections last fiscal year to determine whether firms were abiding by the laws and rules that govern their operation.

Thanks to OpenData NYC, we can see which firms passed their inspections (the majority did), and which failed, or had a violation or warning issued, so far this fiscal year. The map below shows locations where an inspection found fault.
