City Limits accepts opinion submissions on a rolling basis. We do not compensate for op-eds, and treat them more like letters to the editor. We try our best to reply to submissions in a timely manner, but because we receive so many, we’re sometimes unable to respond to everyone individually.

Opinion submissions should:

• Run between 600-1200 words
• Have a connection to New York City or State policy. We prioritize pieces in our core coverage areas: housing, homelessness, land use, affordability. 
• Be original, true, and accurate. Please don’t use AI to generate your writing.
