City Limits is currently accepting applications for its CLARIFY (City Limits Accountability Reporting Initiative for Youth) investigative internship program for the fall of 2018.
Start date: September 25th
Meets: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. for 10 weeks ending December 6th
Deadline to apply: September 15th
This is a 10-week paid investigative reporting internship for New York City high school or college students who have already completed an internship with City Limits. It will teach the essentials of writing and reporting investigative journalism, with an emphasis on using documents and public databases. Interns will work closely with City Limits staff on special projects, with the goal of getting their work published on the site.
Interns will be expected to work up to nine hours a week (four hours spent in group sessions at City Limits’ Harlem offices, and five hours on their own time). Those who perform successfully in the program will be paid a $900 stipend to be distributed at the end of the semester.
To apply, please complete and submit the application form below by Sept 15. For more information, contact Jeanmarie Evelly at (646) 693-4459 ext. 466, or email Jeanmarie@citylimits.org.
