Nine Zumba instructors are joining forces to host a Zumbathon at Riverdale Neighborhood House in the Bronx on Saturday, June 9 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The event will be raising awareness and funds for Tourette’s syndrome, and one hundred percent of the ticket sales will be donated to the Tourette Association of America.
Zumbathon is organized by Tourette Association of America’s youth ambassador, Katya Raskin. As a youth ambassador for TAA, Raskin has been trained to talk about and advocate for Tourette and Tic Disorders in her community, with elected officials, and before her peers. She will give a brief presentation to kick off the event, and will present a few songs along with the instructors.
