The National Urban Technology Center, Inc. (Urban Tech) will celebrate their 22nd anniversary and honor Hannah Bronfman, Valerie Jarrett, Vicki Fuller and Don Lowery at a gala event on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Guastavino’s, 409 East 59th Street. At 5:30 pm there will be a VIP reception and silent auction and the awards dinner and live auction will take place at 7 pm. Celebrities slated to attend include Hannah Bronfman, Brendan Fallis, Alicia Quarles, Vashtie, Jessica White, Allen Maldonado, Ted Lange and Laquan Smith.
Urban Tech creates educational curricula and services for building social and life skills, improved academic skills, and financial and digital literacy skills for underserved youth. Hannah Bronfman, DJ, health and wellness enthusiast and founder of HBFIT.com will be a special guest, receiving the Youth Empowerment Award. Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama’s Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, will receive the Humanitarian Award. Vicki Fuller, Chief Investment Officer at New York State’s Common Retirement Fund will be honored with the Corporate Leadership Award and Don Lowery, Senior Vice President Community Engagement at Nielsen, will receive the Community Leadership Award. Presenters include executive, investor, philanthropist Robert F. Smith and CEO of Tonio Burgos & Associates, Tonio Burgos.
