March 20 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

| $25

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine continues its 2017–2018 season of Great Music in a Great Space on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 pm with Great Choir: Arvo Pärt’s Miserere; with additional works by Stravinsky and Kodály, conducted by Kent Tritle, Director of Cathedral Music and accompanied by Associate Music Director Raymond Nagem at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan.

A piece ideal for the spacious acoustics of the Cathedral, Arvo Pärt’s Miserere utilizes sparse but intense harmonies, along with perfectly timed silences, to fill the space in a unique and mystical way. Accompanying this masterpiece are other choral gems: Bogoroditse Dyevo and Otche nash’ by Igor Stravinsky, and Zoltán Kodály’s Laudes Organi, a virtuosic extravaganza for chorus and organ.

Tickets start at $25. To purchase tickets and for more information on future concerts, please visit: http://www.stjohndivine.org/visit/calendar/events/music/17900/great-choir-arvo-prts-miserere-with-additional-works-by-stravinsky-and-kodly.
