Wine Reception and Live Jazz to celebrate 2nd International Juried Exhibition “Show Your World”.
Artists from 47 countries sent their entries to take part in the exhibition. Three points of view will be shown: the world which is real; the world which is history, inheritance, or perception; and the world through a more ironic prism. In many cases the ‘real’ and ‘surreal’ is mixed up, confused, and hard to believe.
The winner: Sheryl Haler, artwork “huMANity”.
Special project: “The First Supper”, art installation conceived and created by Shirley Siegal and Hadieh Afshani, two finalists at our 1st art competition “Show Your World”.
Our musical guest: Evgeny Sivtsov, a New York-based jazz piano player, an alum of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow and the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, the Netherlands, and the prizewinner of many international jazz competitions.
Join our Wine Reception on November 11, 6:30 – 9:00 PM – view art, meet the artists, enjoy old good New York City jazz.
The exhibition is on view November 11 – November 22, 2016.
Special event devoted to the installation “The First Supper”: November 16, 6:30 PM – Artist Talk and Discussion “The Questions You Were Too Embarrassed to Ask”.
