Questions You Were Too Embarrassed to Ask

November 16, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

| Free

Ask the artists, who were born and raised in Israel and Iran, any question you want, possibly incognito via anonymous notes handed to the artists from the audience.
The First Supper Art Project is a traveling art installation with its first stop in NYC. It is created by two female artists from historically conflicting countries: Israel, represented by Shirley Siegal, and Iran, represented by Hadieh Afshani. A dining table is a centerpiece of the installation and a symbol of a feminine and feminist approach to social and political problem solving.
Artist Talk: “Questions You Were Too Embarrassed to Ask” features Shirley Siegal and Hadieh Afshani. Participate in the talk about assumptions on Muslim and Jewish customs, traditions, cultures, and the history of conflicts. Become part of the inauguration event.
