GET A TASTE OF THE GROWING POPULARITY OF HOMEMADE HARD CIDER WITH A SPECIAL BREW FROM GREEN-WOOD’S OWN APPLES
Brooklynites Joy Doumis and Jeremy Hammond, in partnership with Green-Wood, started harvesting apples from the cemetery’s apple trees to produce homemade hard cider. And the results were delicious! In support of the sustainable farming movement and a love for all things Green-Wood, join Joy and Jeremy for the story of how they brewed over 100 bottles of hard cider in their own back yard. They’ll also talk about best practices for home-making hard cider, including how to harvest apples and care for the trees that produce them. Naturally, a tasting of the final product is included.
Reservations are recommended. If the event is not sold out, walk-ups will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
