The New Yorkers Against Gun Violence Education Fund works to educate New York youth and community members about gun violence and how to prevent and reduce it. Conducted in New York high schools and communities plagued by guns and gun violence, the programs teach participants how to solve problems without resorting to guns and how to become more productive members of their communities.
Our annual benefit to raise funds for the programs is being held on November 15, 2016 at the Prince George Ballroom. At the event we will be honoring New Yorkers that have been strong advocates against gun violence. This year we are honoring artist, singer and activist Yoko Ono and New York City Councilman Jumaane Williams.
