Join New York Cares in celebrating National Volunteer Week by attending a New Volunteer Orientation to become a part of New York Cares, New York City’s largest volunteer network, at the New York Cares Headquarters, located at 65 Broadway in Manhattan, at 6:00p.m. daily from Tuesday, April 17 to Thursday, April 19. New volunteers can register here: www.newyorkcares.org/nvw. New York Cares hosts volunteering opportunities throughout the year across the five boroughs, ranging from projects like tutoring children, serving food to the hungry, assisting people living with HIV/AIDS, revitalizing community gardens, and much more.
The New Volunteer Orientation is the first step in becoming an official New York Cares volunteer. These sessions will detail the ins and outs of New York Cares and feature guest appearances from Community Partners – including Bronx is Blooming, City Harvest and Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (NMIC) – to discuss the impact their organizations and missions have on New York City’s communities.
Since 1987, New York Cares has been the City’s premier volunteering organization, creating opportunities for tens of thousands of busy New Yorkers to give their time each year through fulfilling, flexibly-scheduled volunteer projects.
You must register in advance to attend this orientation at www.newyorkcares.org/nvw.
