LESSONS FROM THE MUNICH OLYMPICS

November 19, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

| $50 - $500

Forty-four years ago, in the early hours of September 5, members of the Black September Palestine Liberation group invaded Munich’s Olympic Village and brutally murdered eleven Israeli hostages. This single vicious act of terror changed the world: If enmity cannot be put aside for the Olympic Games, then nowhere is safe.
Bob Costas will headline “Lessons from Munich,” as part of the Gerrard Berman Day School Torch Talk series. Costas will moderate a panel of experts who will discuss the tragedy at the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. From 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm; 435 West 116th Street, Manhattan, 201-207-3685.
