Free Public Event with Live Jazz and Macarons by Ladurée
On Tuesday, May 30, the public is invited to attend the free, family-friendly event “La Fête de Jeanne d’Arc,” a celebration of the beginning of summer from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Joan of Arc Park.
Members of the Riverside Park Conservancy, together with the Joan of Arc Statue Committee, will welcome visitors with Perrier, macarons by Ladurée, live jazz music performed by Via Paris Jazz Band and special dog treats. The event coincides with St. Joan’s Feast Day. Anne Higonnet, Professor of Art History, Barnard College, Columbia University, will give remarks.
The Joan of Arc Statue Committee is raising funds and working with the City to restore the park to its original condition by 2019, the 100th anniversary of its opening.
