On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, from 5pm to 7pm, Aaron Faber Gallery will host its first annual jewelry panel, Jewelry in the Age of the New Luxury: A Look at Jewelry Design and Desire, in its midtown Manhattan location, 666 Fifth Avenue at West 53rd Street, New York City.
Moderated by Victoria Gomelsky, editor in chief, JCK Magazine, the panel includes Patricia Faber, co-owner of Aaron Faber Gallery; Lisa Koenigsberg, President of Initiatives in Art and Culture; Creative Consultant and Fashion Stylist Elliana Placas; Peter Schmid of jewelry house Atelier Zobel; and Stellene Volandes, editor in chief of Town & Country Magazine.
These jewelry industry luminaries will engage in a lively discussion defining the new luxury and its implication towards recent customer demand in jewelry design, examining how the current state of affairs has influenced designing techniques, use of exotic materials, and adoption of ethical and sustainable sourcing. The panel will also consider what makes people gravitate towards a particular gem, while educating the audience on how to select jewelry to complement their personal style. The audience will discover how to advance from viewing jewelry as only a fashion accessory into creating a world class jewelry collection rivaling Elizabeth Taylor’s. The audience will also learn how to make long term investments with their jewelry choices.
