May 6, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
The 1950s and 1960s, a time of social and political upheaval in America, inspired some of the most passionate and emotional compositions in the history of jazz. This concert by the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s professional ensemble will demonstrate how jazz can serve as a form of protest and as an instrument for social change and is a part of a collaboration between HSA and Jazz at Lincon Center made possible by the Herb Alpert Foundation.
