This February the IAC will be host to the amazing Irish indie/bluegrass band, I Draw Slow! I Draw Slow is a five-piece outfit comprising vocals, guitar, fiddle, banjo and double bass, and rooted in the style of the Appalachian Mountains, traditional Irish music, and modern Americana.
I Draw Slow have received rave reviews In Ireland since the release of their top 10 selling second album, Redhills. Their third album ‘White Wave Chapel’ has inspirations from the sounds of the Appalachian Mountains while also fusing sounds of traditional Irish Music. The band has been compared by UK Press to such greats as Gillian Welsh and Alison Krauss. They have played to audiences in the UK, Germany, Denmark and Belgium and started 2012 with a performance with the Legendary Béla Fleck and the Flecktones and an appearance at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow Scotland.
