GREEN-WOOD HOSTS AN IMPORTANT DISCUSSION FOR PARENTS
How do we explain death and dying to our children? How much should they know and when? How
can a pet’s death or a grandparent’s declining health be explained in a way that’s understandable?
Parents with children of any age are invited to join funeral director and death educator Amy Cunningham and adolescent psychotherapist Liana Smith-Murphy at Green-Wood for an enlightening conversation on the best practices for discussing death with children. This program is presented in partnership with Park Slope Parents.
This program is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children, not for the children themselves.
This event is free to attend. Reservations are recommended. If the event is not sold out, walk-ups will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
