Forward Union Fair, a free social action and art fair, returns for two full days the weekend of December 2 & 3! Attendees will engage with activist organizations, topical art installations, and public programs packed into 714 Broadway, a vacant storefront in the heart of Manhattan.
In 2016, over 1,500 members of the public engaged with 44 organizations, 37 artists and over 8 hours of non-stop talks, performances, and round tables. This year’s participants include NYC Shut It Down, National Women’s Liberation, Sierra Club, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Spaceworks, People’s Cultural Plan and many more. Attendees will be able to network with organizations and leave with actionable takeaways.
Artists from a variety of disciplines will enliven the space with interactive performance, murals, installations, and other artwork that address our current social moment. Additionally, there will be a wellness gathering station, roundtables on class, panels on social justice, and a variety of participatory workshops!
