Flushing Walking Tours

May 24, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| $20

Queens historian, Dr Jack Eichenbaum will lead an evening walking tour showcasing highlights from the Chinese community. Downtown Flushing plays host to a variety of immigrant Chinese cultures. Rezoning and greater land availability support unusual real estate developments including office buildings, hotels, residential condos, specialty shops, cultural institutions, and malls. Dr Eichenbaum has been living in the neighborhood for 39 years and he will lead a fascinating tour of the history and developments of Downtown Flushing. The tour will convene on the 2nd floor of New World Mall near the restrooms ($20 per person/email to reserve a spot: jaconet@aol.com)
Getting to Downtown Flushing:
There are many transportation options available. If you are riding to the Saturday walking tour, bicycle parking is available in the rear of the Quaker Meeting House. The Flushing Main Street 7 train station is down the street and there are many bus lines servicing the downtown area including the Q44 SBS. The Flushing LIRR station is also nearby. Car Parking is also available but limited.
