Drum Major Institute’s Marketplace of Ideas is a forum for policy and community leaders to discuss how to implement progressive policy ideas. By connecting public affairs to the social change legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., DMI brings think tank conversations to grassroots organizers and change agents on the ground. In concert with the Roosevelt Institute and the New York Society for Ethical Culture, DMI’s Marketplace of Ideas event will take place next Tuesday, October 20th from 6:30pm – 8:30 p.m. at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. The event location is 2 West 64th Street, New York, NY 10025. The forum will open with a lead address by New York City Councilmember Donovan Richards, a millennial and champion of economic justice, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Andrew Wilkes, DMI’s Executive Director. We’re excited to convene a dynamic conversation with a distinguished group of thought leaders, including:
Joelle Gamble, National Director, Roosevelt Institute
Carmen Dixon, Faith and Policy Organizer, Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies; Organizer, Black Lives Matter Network, NYC Chapter
Following the discussion, we will facilitate audience interaction with a Q&A discussion. We invite you to join us! Please RSVP to indicate your attendance at the following link:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dmi-marketplace-of-ideas-millennials-and-economic-justice-tickets-19016693442.
