Every year, to kick off World Kindness Week, Life Vest Inside organizes “Dance for Kindness,” the largest WorldWide FreezeMob/FlashMob during which groups from all across the globe unite under the banner of kindness and join together to perform to the same song, same dance, all happening on the same day.
The purpose of Dance for Kindness is to look beyond ourselves – beyond the boundaries of our country, beyond our culture, our race, our religion and realize that we are citizens of the world and kindness is the common thread that unites us all.
This year marks our 4th Annual WorldWide Dance for Kindness, with participation from over 100 cities spanning across over 40 countries. The event will take place on Sunday, November 8th 2015! To gear up for this awesome event, we bring you the Dance for Kindness Countdown Party hosted by our Celebrity Ambassador Peter Scolari! WHY WE EXIST?
The Problem: Lack of Self-Value
LVI is built as a means to combat the various social and emotional issues plaguing the youth of today’s time. Bullying, substance abuse, peer pressure, and suicide are just a few of the many issues that teens and tweens are dealing with on an everyday basis. While there are programs developed as anti-bullying, anti-drug, and so forth – these programs only deal with the problem once it becomes a problem. LVI acts to prevent such issues from materializing by taking a proactive approach and empowering our youth to recognize their value.
The Solution: Kindness
Kindness is a universal language that transcends race, religion, ethnicity and nationality. Through kindness, LVI has created connections and opened dialogue with people across the globe, including parts of the world torn apart by conflict. By creating this dialogue, we have established peace in place of conflict, love in place of hatred, hope in place of fear, and kindness in place of mistrust. Kindness is that common ground that ties us all together and provides an opportunity for us to focus on something we all believe in, rather than what we may disagree upon. By doing so, we will notice a drastic change for the better in the choices people make, in the way they treat themselves and therefore the way they treat others.
Life Vest Inside utilizes the transformative power of kindness to empower and inspire people to see the amazing potential they have to make a difference in the world. We set out to effect global change through inspirational media, technology, education, and on the ground social engagement.
