This is a special evening with panel presentation and workshop through a lens honoring the lives of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Mrs. Coretta Scott King in addressing Civil Rights, Women’s Rights, and Gender Justice, given jointly by The L.O.V.E. (Liberate Ourselves, Value Everyone) Task Force on Non-Violent Living and New York City for CEDAW (Convention of the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women). Invited speakers representing leadership with academic, civic, community and faith perspectives include Research Fellow Ellen Chesler, Roosevelt Institute, Ms. Sheila Katzman, Chair of NYC for CEDAW, Ms. K.C. Wagner, Director of Workplace Issues, Metro District Office, ILR/Cornell and others.
