When Chris Norton takes the stage, his natural charisma is immediately apparent to the audience. Even before putting his lips to the horn or stepping up to the microphone to sing, he already knows how to win over a crowd, and he does it every time.
Norton has been playing the trumpet for 28 years, and has been a professional performer for 20. For most of his life, he has meticulously honed his craft, performing with some of the best entertainers in the industry. He has performed at over 800 corporate and private events, cocktail parties, weddings and countless shows at nightclubs and dance halls. He has performed at many great venues internationally and in the New York City area, including the Ritz Carlton, the Pierre, the W, Per Se, St. Regis, The Plaza, Waldorf Astoria, Le Cirque, Metropolitan Club, Boom Boom Room @ The Top Of The Standard, The Darby,The General, Toshi’s Living Room.
His repertoire draws from the greatest musical achievements of the twentieth century. His diverse influences include Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Nat king Cole Miles Davis, Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, James Taylor, the Beatles, the Temptations, Billy Joel, Sam and Dave, and many, many more.
Chris Norton – crooner, and balladeer – can whisper the softest jazz ballad, unobtrusively from a nearby dinner table, and moments later, he can deliver wildly energetic performances certain to make the crowd dance the night away.
