Celebrate Flatiron Chefs in Madison Square Park

Famed neighborhood Chefs and Restaurants descend on
Madison Square Park in support of public green space.

New York, NY (June 6, 2015) – Celebrate Flatiron Chefs, the highly anticipated annual gathering of beloved restaurants, well-respected chefs, and artisanal drink purveyors from the Flatiron district and surrounding neighborhoods, will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 5:30-8:30pm in Madison Square Park with the entrance at 24th Street and Madison Avenue.

Hosted by Madison Square Park Conservancy, guests will enjoy a range of delectable dishes and refreshing beverages all while enjoying the Park’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere consisting of historic buildings, lush trees, vibrant flowers, and Mad. Sq. Art’s current exhibition, Martin Puryear’s Big Bling.

Since the inaugural Celebrate Flatiron Chefs in 2005, guests have grown accustomed to the excellent mix of neighborhood mainstays and fresh new talent. This year’s 31 participating restaurants and their Chefs include A Voce (Davide Venturini), abc cocina (Ian Coogan and Sean Considine), abc kitchen (Sung Jung), Almond (Jason Weiner, Alex Nieto), Black Barn (John Doherty and Mateo Bergamini), Blue Smoke (Jean-Paul Bourgeois), Boqueria (Marc Vidal), Bo’s (Casey Smart), Café El Presidente (Jason DeBriere), The Cannibal (Francis Derby), Cosme (Enrique Olvera and Daniela Soto-Innes), Craftbar (Tom Colicchio, Luke Wallace, Abby Swain), Eataly (Fitz Tallon), Eleven Madison Park (Daniel Humm, Connie Chung), The Gander (Jesse Schenker), Hanjan (Hooni Kim), Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken (Charles Grund Jr.), ilili Box (Philippe Massoud), Inday (Anup Joshi), The John Dory Oyster Bar (April Bloomfield, Charlene Santiago, Jeff Villaruz), Junoon (Aarthi Sampath, Akshay Bhardwaj), Kat & Theo (Paras Shah), La Pecora Biance (Simone Bonelli), L&W Oyster Co. (Jason Weiner, David M. Belknap), Maysville (Arun Gupta), The NoMad (Mark Welker, Bradley Ray), Num Pang Sandwich Shop (Ratha Chaupoly, Ben Daitz), Obica (Erind Halilaj, Alvaro Santos Rivas), Raymi (Jaime A. Torres, Felipe A. Torres), Resto (Francis Derby), The Smith (Brian Ellis) and Shake Shack.

Notable beverage participants include a ‘liquor row’ consisting of Four Roses Bourbon, Arta Tequila, Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur, El Buho Mezcal, Cockspur Rum, Drink More Good, Golden moon Distillery, Greenhook Ginsmiths, Ripe Bar Juice, Tito’s Vodka, as well as wine from Long Island Wine Country and craft beers from Brooklyn Brewery, The Bronx Brewery, and Rockaway Brewing Co. Non-alcoholic options include Acqua Panna, GuS – Grown-up Soda, and San Pellegrino.

Tickets are $350 for early admission at 5:30pm, or $200 for general entry at 6:30pm and can
be purchased at madisonsquarepark.org or by calling 212.520.7599.

All proceeds will go toward the Conservancy’s free programming, horticulture, park maintenance, and security.
