CaringKind, NYC’s leading experts in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, is now recruiting runners to join team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s™ for the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon and help raise money for CaringKind’s programs and services that support NYC’s Alzheimer’s community. Since its inception in 2009, team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s has raised over $3 million.
The marathon takes place on Sunday, November 6, 2016 and travels through all five boroughs of New York City. Team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s will provide its athletes with an in-person and online training program with amazing coaches, free gear, personalized online fundraising page and support, a wonderful community of runners, a pre-race carb dinner, private transportation to the starting line, a post-race thank you reception, and much more.
CaringKind will notify all applicants of their status within 2 weeks of receipt of application.
CaringKind is formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.
Team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s members who do not have a guaranteed spot in the 2016 marathon are required to raise a minimum of $3,500 by October 24, 2016. In addition, these runners are responsible to pay New York Road Runners (organizer of the TCS NYC Marathon) the standard runner entry fee for the ING New York City Marathon upon successful registration for the race in September. Runners must complete half of their fundraising requirements by August 15, 2016.
