Brown Harris Stevens is pleased to announce that it will be a premiere sponsor of the 2016 Winter Antiques Show, and the host of the show’s first VIP Lounge. The show takes place at the Park Avenue Armory (643 Park Avenue) from Friday, January 22nd through Sunday, January 31st.
“We are delighted to support the 2016 Winter Antiques Show and the East Side House Settlement, the charity beneficiary of the Winter Antiques Show,” stated Hall F. Willkie, president, Brown Harris Stevens. “The East Side House promotes education as the gateway out of poverty, and serves more than 10,000 residents annually in the South Bronx.”
The Winter Antiques Show’s 2016 loan exhibition celebrates the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut. The Wadsworth Atheneum will bring together an array of intriguing objects that illuminate the unique story of America’s oldest continually operating public art museum. The title of the exhibition, Legacy for the Future: Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, is adapted from a 1936 public lecture given in New York City by former museum director Everett Austin that highlighted the importance of enjoying and studying the things of the past while using them as a guide and criterion for the present. The Winter Antiques Show features over seventy exhibitors, from around the world, showcasing their authenticated treasures.
