The Alliance for NYC’s Animals and the Brooklyn Cyclones are teaming up to bring you – and your dog – a great afternoon of family fun at “Bark in the Park” on Sunday, August 2, 2015 as the Cyclones take on the Batavia Muckdogs at Municipal Credit Union Park. The fun starts at 11:30 a.m. when the gates open.
With the Coney Island Boardwalk and the beautiful Brooklyn waterfront as the backdrop, baseball fans and their dogs will enjoy an afternoon in the bleacher seats – all to help raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption. Before the game starts, dogs and their owners will have chance to go on the field and strut their stuff in the “parade of the pooches.” Water will be available for your canine companions in the bleachers.
Outside the stadium, activities kickoff at 12:00 p.m. with a mini pet adoption fair presented by Sean Casey Animal Rescue. Also onsite will be free photos-ops for pets and their people, as well as free personalized pet tag give-aways. The NYC Department of Heath will be on hand for dog licensing and NYC Emergency Management / Ready New York will offer important information on how to prepare you and your pets for emergencies.
$10 for one person & up to two dogs with seats in the bleacher section.
To purchase tickets in advance, call 718-382-2604; on the day of the game, purchase tickets at the Cyclones’ box office.
