Argento Chamber Ensemble: Spectralism in America: Objets Trouvés

May 19, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

New York’s premiere virtuoso chamber ensemble presents a night dedicated to the legacy of French composer Tristan Murail.

A pioneer of spectralism—a prominent movement in contemporary classical music that arose in 1970s France—Murail influenced a generation of composers in his mesmerizing style of early electronic music.

In conjunction with the French American Cultural Exchange, this second concert of a two-part series features the music of Tristan Murail alongside works of three of his New York protégés.
