Green-Wood boasts a spectacular collection of 19th and early 20th century architectural wonders by some of the most famed architects in American history. Designing works to immortalize their patrons, many — including James Renwick (St. Patrick’s Cathedral), Jacob Wrey Mould (Central Park’s Belvedere Castle and the Bow Bridge), and Gamaliel King (Brooklyn Borough Hall) — have also established their own permanent residences here. This walking tour highlights the myriad structures on Green Wood’s 478 acres, as well as the architects who designed and the patrons who commissioned them.
