On Thursday, January 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Alliance for NYC’s Animals welcomes New Yorkers to a unique exhibit and cocktail reception that combines the love of architecture with the love of animals. Seven architectural firms will unveil new winter shelters that they created for stray and feral community cats.
These one-of-a-kind shelters will be on display at Architects for Animals: Giving Shelter at the Steelcase Showroom located at 4 Columbus Circle. Guests will have the chance to vote on their favorite design. Following the exhibition, the shelters will be installed in feral cat colonies across New York City.
Among the architectural firms participating in this year’s exhibition are HLW, CallisonRTKL Architects P.C., Biber Architects, ARCHITECTURE IN FORMATION, Docomomo US, and N A R O F S K Y|ARCHITECTURE.
