ADIFF’s Black History Month: The Black Panthers!

February 28, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The valiant rise and heartbreaking fall of the Black Panther Party is a unique, American story of militant demands for justice and racial equality and a growing pride in Black culture. With a cast of leaders including Huey Newton, Bobby Seale, Eldridge and Kathleen Cleaver, and Fred Hampton, renowned documentarian Stanley Nelson masterfully assembles rare archival footage that contextualizes the history of the Black Panthers – a group formed to challenge police brutality and confront systemic forms of racism.
