The Bowlathon, now rolling into its seventh successful year, supports the Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s work in eradicating childhood cancers.
Registration costs $50, and includes a donation to PCF, shoe rental, snacks, bowling, and an afternoon of fun. Bowlers may join existing teams or organize their own teams. Captains will receive a free T-shirt, fundraising information handbook, promotional materials, and a chance to win prizes for creating the largest team or raising the most money.
In addition to bowling, the event will feature the Give Hope Bake sale, featuring tasty treats with all proceeds going to fund cancer research. Raffle tickets will be available for sale throughout the event, with prize draws occurring after bowling. Plus, dozens of teen volunteers from 92nd Street Y’s Annual TEENSgiving Program will lead a Design-A-Bag Workshop. The workshop features Charitotes, canvas bags to be decorated by kids, filled with art supplies, and donated to sick children in the hospital.
This year’s theme, Lucky Seven, highlights the previous years’ success along with Eric’s hopes for the future. Eric continues to work in support of the cause. His motto, “Fifty States, One Goal,” highlights the importance of raising awareness and money in the effort to cure pediatric cancer.
