On May 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, thousands will join The New York Women’s Foundation to celebrate the leadership and advocacy work of Cecile Richards, President of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Anne E. Delaney, Former Board Chair for The Foundation, Donna Lieberman, Executive Director for the New York Civil Liberties Union, Ana Maria Archila, Co-Executive Director for the Center for Popular Democracy and Co-Founder for Make the Road New York, Vivian Denise Nixon, Executive Director for the College and Community Fellowship, Marley Dias, Founder for #1000BlackGirlBooks, Linda Sarsour, Executive Director for the Arab American Association of New York and the Co-Chair of the 2017 Women’s March in Washington and The Foundation’s Board Alumnae.
The Foundation’s 2017 grantees will also be recognized for their exemplary efforts to identify and address the pressing needs of the city’s most underserved women and girls.
The Celebrating Women Breakfast is one of New York’s most well-attended fundraisers, with more than 2,000 women leaders in community, philanthropy, corporate and government community gathering each year to support The Foundation’s work to promote long-term economic security, sexual health, and safety for women and their families here in New York. Last year’s event raised more than $2 million dollars.
Registration begins at 6:30 AM. The program and awards presentations will begin promptly at 7:30 AM.
