The 23rd African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) is to be held in Manhattan, New York City from November 27 to December 13. MIST Harlem, Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas and Teachers College, Columbia University will host the event that will showcase more than 50 films this year, including 27 World, US and NY Premieres.
With its traditional eclectic selection, ADIFF-2015 will present this year a rich variety of films coming from major film festival such as Toronto, Cannes, FESPACO, and the World Film Festival including several “auteur” films featuring amazingly talented actors such as Idris Elba, Anthony Mackie, Geraldine Chaplin, Epatha Merkerson, Jennifer Connelly and Michael Clarke Duncan, and internationally renowned directors including Stanley Nelson and Thierry Michel.
Themed Programs will be built around African Women and the Labor Movement, the Black UK Experience, Egypt: Before and After the Spring Revolution, Ethiopia: Past and Present, An LGBT Evening and the Let’s Talk About Chicago program.
