The New Jewish Home, a comprehensive, mission-driven health care system serving older New Yorkers since 1848, welcomes Mark Weiss as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Mr. Weiss, a senior executive who is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) and a CPA, will be responsible for the fiscal integrity, administration and overall financial operations of The New Jewish Home. He will lead and guide financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, operational and capital budgeting, revenue cycle management and investments.

“Mark Weiss brings a wealth of experience as a top-level financial executive with a deep understanding of the complex health care system serving older adults. He will be an integral member of our executive team as we continue to develop and implement a financial strategy that enables The New Jewish Home to maintain a tradition of excellence and provide innovative health care services to older New Yorkers,” said Jeffrey I. Immediately prior to joining The New Jewish Home, Mr. Weiss served as Vice President, Administrator and CFO at Montefiore, a large provider of health care services for older adults located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Weiss earned a B.S. in Accounting from Touro College and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University with concentrations in health systems management and finance. Through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, he completed the Center for Creative Leadership fellowship program: “Ladder to Leadership: Developing the Next Generation of Community Health Leaders” in June 2010.
