City Limits joins DNAinfo.com, the Norwood News, the Riverdale Press, Welcome2TheBronx, the League of Women Voters, the Bronx Voice, the Bronx Chronicle and the Bronx Times in sponsoring this week’s BronxNet debate for Democrats seeking their party’s nomination for New York’s 13th Congressional District, which spans northern Manhattan and a sizable chunk of the Bronx. Longtime Bronxnet host Gary Axelbank will moderate the debate featuring at least seven of the nine hopefuls vying to replace retiring Harlem legend Charles Rangel.

The debate tapes Friday afternoon and will air on Bronxnet (67 Optimum, 33 FiOs) at 9 p.m. each night from Saturday, June 18 through Sunday, June 26 and will also run at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday the 19th and Sunday the 26th.

The Congressional primary (only the second of four elections that Bronx Democrats will be asked to participate in this year) is Tuesday, June 28. The ballot includes Sam Sloan, Assemblyman Keith Wright, Assemblyman Guillermo Linares, Adam Clayton Powell IV, Clyde Williams, Suzan D. Johnson-Cook, Michael Gallagher, Yohanny Caceres and State Sen. Adriano Espaillat.
