Storm damage on East 21st Street

The city has set up two sites for distributing food and water in Brooklyn. They’re scheduled to operate from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The first is at Coffey Park at Richards Street, which is on the B61 bus line. The second is at West 25th Street and Surf Avenue in Coney Island, served by the B36 bus. The MTA says all Brooklyn buses are operating with delays.

The city may announce more distribution sites here.

Con Edison will be distributing dry ice until supplies run out at the Walgreen’s at 532 Neptune Ave, between West 5th and 6th Streets, in West Brighton, also near the B36 bus.

The Brooklyn Community Foundation, which supports Brooklyn Bureau, in cooperation with the Brooklyn borough president’s office and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has launched a Brooklyn Recovery Fund.
