Bronx Crime Watch: Two Arrests Made

Last week, we linked to a story about the murder of Jack Hewitt, 53, a resident of the Tracey Towers high-rise apartment complex on Mosholu Parkway. Hewitt was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning, Dec. 8 while his wife had stepped outside to take out the garbage. The next day, police arrested another Tracey resident, Horace Nichols, 38, and charged him with the murder of Hewitt. He was arraigned on Friday and will return to court tomorrow.

HPD Demands Documents In Key Foreclosure Case

The city’s housing agency subpoenaed the former and current owners of the Milbank portfolio, a group of 10 Bronx buildings that has become a test case for what happens to tenants when multiunit buildings fall into foreclosure.
