Today marks a new chapter in the life of City Limits, a unique New York City news source for almost 34 years. City Futures, Inc., the parent organization of the City Limits website and City Limits Investigates magazine, has transferred ownership to one of New York’s foremost not-for-profit organizations, the Community Service Society of New York. I have the honor of assuming the role of Publisher, taking the reins from Andy Breslau, who ably guided City Limits for the last four years and was instrumental in guiding the organization through this transition.

Our stellar editorial staff remains intact, with Karen Loew serving as Editor of the City Limits website and e-Weekly and Jarrett Murphy continuing as Editor of City Limits Investigates. Our new home is the historic United Charities Building, on the corner of East 22nd Street and Park Avenue, near Madison Square Park.

City Limits will continue to be a beacon of independent, investigative journalism and will maintain its commitment to fair and objective reporting. We are excited for what the future has in store and are working to enhance both our website and magazine. In the coming months you will see significant changes, including a new look, new features and greater frequency in our publishing. As always, our focus will be on exploring both the grassroots concerns and policy issues that affect the life of New Yorkers, and holding accountable leaders whose actions define public policy.

I look forward to hearing from you in the months to come. We thank you for your past support and encourage your continued readership.

Sincerely,
Walter Fields
