FYI: Today’s the deadline for candidates to file campaign finance disclosure statements covering the last six months, which will be posted by the end of the day on the New York City Campaign Finance Board’s website. Political watchers are beginning to keep a close eye on both the jockeying for this fall’s council races and for the 2005 mayoral contest. Council Speaker Gifford Miller is expected to announce another $500,000 worth of fundraising for his mayoral run today, according to the New York Post, bringing his total to around $1.6 million. Comptroller William Thompson’s campaign is expected to declare just over a million dollars for his mayoral run. [7/15/03]
