FYI: Two thirds of the mutual funds deemed socially and environmentally responsible by the 500-member Social Investment Forum got high marks from top investment research firms in the third quarter, despite a tanking economy. The funds in question each formally consider criteria ranging from a company’s human rights record to its relationship with the community before buying in.
