It’s been almost two months since Virginia “Mine” Fields detonated the careers of about 15 of Ruth Messinger’s top guns in the Manhattan Borough President’s office and convinced other Ruthites that maybe it was time to shop for resume paper. One of the first to land on her feet was former chief of staff Pat Roach who sailed across the Harlem River to land in Fernando Ferrer’s office as a special assistant. Fred Davie, ex-deputy borough prez, is now playing Santa to community development groups through the Ford Foundation.

Ruth’s resident policy guru–and former City Limits editor–Doug Turetsky, has eased into a tailor-made gig at United Neighborhood Houses as director of policy and advocacy.
