The Living Room Series, a signature project produced by Vertigo Theater Company, is an exciting evening of theater that defies preconception by removing the audience from its familiar comfort zone. Each year, Vertigo commissions emerging, buzz-worthy playwrights to create new works for a site-specific setting. Guests are invited to continue conversations and exchange ideas at post-show receptions that include complimentary drinks and food. Last year’s sold-out performances featured three new works by Labyrinth Theater Company Member and Farm Theater Artistic Director, Padraic Lillis.
The 2015 Living Room Series production, Bareknuckle, champions women. Vertigo Theater Company— whose Co-Artistic Directors and production team are all women— has teamed up with director Laura Savia and playwrights Lucy Thurber, Pia Scala-Zankel, and Lindsay Joy. Performances are scheduled for February and March at Gleason’s Gym in DUMBO. Special post-show receptions are scheduled for Friday, February 20; Saturday, February 28; and Sunday, March 8.
