Lucky has always had his fair share of trouble with the law. However, when his unarmed older brother is wrongfully killed by a police officer and acquitted, Lucky takes matters into his own hands taking part in a violent and reckless protest. His actions put him face to face with two well dressed gentlemen, Martin and Malcolm whom Lucky mistakes at first as fellow protestors. The two mysterious men befriend the angered young black man, taking him on a historical, educational journey. Lucky soon learns that change without change doesn’t really change anything. Martin, Malcolm and Me is a story about love, forgiveness, self-awareness and keeping your eye on the prize. Written and directed by New York Times acclaimed playwright JD Lawrence. *Running time 90 minutes, no intermission.
