Facilitation Essentials: The Art of Workshop Design and Facilitation

101 Training Track | Two-Day Course- March 24 & 25 (Each session is from 9 am to 5 pm)

This training is formerly known as Facilitation Finesse: Perfecting Your Presentation Skills to Empower an Audience, and is updated with new and current practices.

Workforce professionals are increasingly being called upon to lead workshops for participants from diverse backgrounds. Designing and implementing dynamic and empowering workshops requires staff to be equipped with effective training design and facilitation methods. This two day hands-on workshop will teach the principles of workforce development instruction, and will prepare participants with the strategies and resources necessary to create a learning environment that is safe, respectful, challenging, and engaging of multiple learners.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

Understand the competencies of an effective facilitator and the elements of workshop design;
Identify different approaches for customizing workshops to support academic, industry, and
employability standards;
Present information in a clear, concise and engaging manner; and
Develop an action plan that outlines how to enhance and strengthen facilitation practice.
