Event Highlights Growth of Solar Tax Credit Investment in the U.S.
March 22, 2016
New York, New York
Lionchase Holdings (www.lionchase.com), will sponsor a series of panel discussions in the New York Metro area to address the active buyer/seller market exchange of solar tax credits in the U.S. Federal, state, and municipal governments guarantee tax credits for solar installations. The increase in the number of solar credit investors has both increased solar tax credit liquidity and substantially decreased solar installation cost for small and large scale solar projects. Kenneth Brown, managing partner of Lionchase comments, “it is estimated that there will be over $10 billion in solar tax credit transactions in the 2016. The ease of acquiring and leveraging solar tax credits will continue to grow the secondary market.”
Panel discussions will feature: Charles R. Goulding, of Energy Tax Savers, Peter J. Scalise of Preger Metis, and Gary Lakritz, of Knollwood Energy. Invitees include solar developers, project finance experts, and asset managers. A recent report by Bloomberg entitled, “2016 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook”, indicated that new solar installations in the U.S. climbed to 7.3 Gigawatts in 2015 almost entirely because of uncertainty of tax credits availability in 2016. The report suggests that the U.S. government decision to extend the solar tax credit program 2019 will exponentially increase solar installations; and subsequently, the tax credit marketplace.
All event attendees will receive a free white paper entitled “Solar Tax Equity in the United States”. The paper will include solar projects in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey actively seeking solar tax equity investment. Brown continues, “We predict that growth in understanding solar tax credit investment will substantially increase the pool of investors —boosting solar development even further. New York is the great place for these panel discussions to occur. ” The events are: April 28th in Manhattan, May 26th in Jersey City and June 23rd in Stamford CT.
