Elder Abuse Training Institute Presents: Trauma, Violence, and Abuse in Later Life

Trauma initially occurring in childhood is associated with later life re-victimization and compromised mental and physical health. We’d like to invite you to a workshop organized by JASA’s Elder Abuse Training Institute where experts will explore the unique dynamics and challenges of victimization for older women, discuss practice modalities that foster culturally competent resilience and physical health, and provide intervention strategies and resources. JASA’s Elder Abuse Training Institute is an interdisciplinary training for professionals and community gatekeepers, which improves understanding of and response to the various forms of elder abuse. dedicates to educate social service, health, mental health, medical, legal, and financial professionals to improve understanding of and response to the various forms of elder abuse
