This free, six-workshop series is for parents of children and youth with disabilities and are designed to help parents understand their rights, to navigate the NYC special education process and system and to become effective advocates for their children. Topics discussed include the evaluation and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, dispute resolution and planning for transition to adulthood. Simultaneous interpretation (English-Spanish) and light food and beverages arr provided.
