DOC NYC is the country’s largest documentary festival based in New York City with over 130 films and events; and over 100 special guests.
It seems that every year there is a groundbreaking documentary surrounding the gun violence debate. Make this year no exception. And make it set in New York.
“No Control” premieres at this year’s 2014 DOC NYC film festival chronicling the opposing views of a libertarian anarchist who made the first 3D-printable gun and an artist whose drawing of an AR-15 is erased by spectators handstamped with names of shooting victims. Director Jessica Sole will be in person at the screening of her documentary. We would appreciate it if you could circulate this info amongst members of your organization.
The film has two screenings: Saturday, November 15 at 9:30pm & Wednesday, November 19th at 12:45pm at the IFC Center.
And please take a look at the schedule – this is only one of over 150 films and special events at DOC NYC this year. Visit our homepage at www.docnyc.net, like us on Facebook, facebook.com/DOCNYCfestival or tweet us @DOCNYCFest. This year’s hashtag is #DOCNYC14.
