City Harvest’s annual Summer in the City kicks off the season in style with the best walk-around tasting event sure to delight any palate. Guests will experience over 40 of the city’s hottest restaurants and chefs at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W. 18th Street) and enjoy live entertainment, specialty cocktails and a silent auction. The VIP Hour begins at 6:30 p.m. and general admission starts at 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds from this event help support City Harvest’s efforts to end hunger in New York City, including the nearly one in four children in the city who are food insecure.
Last year’s restaurant participants included Ditch Plains, Ed’s Chowder House, Butcher Bar, Hecho en Dumbo, The Stanton Social, FP Patisserie, and Robicelli’s, and the event raised $335,000 in support of City Harvest—enough to help feed over 14,000 kids for the summer.
